We are excited to announce that the Annual Anchor walk-a-thon will once again be taking place this fall. Please consider helping us make this event a success by doing one of the following:
- Organize a small group of friends or your family to do the walk on (or around) Saturday, September18, 2021. Request sponsorship as you would have done in previous years.
- Sponsor a resident from one of our homes and they will do the walk. Feel free to contact the home to select a resident to sponsor or sponsor the entire home.
- Send a special donation by e-transfer or cheque, earmarked ‘walk-a-thon’.
The walkathon benefits the Anchor Association, allowing the homes to operate with a balanced budget. The Anchor homes continue to depend on the generosity of our supporters. We are optimistically hoping to exceed last year’s virtual walk-a-thon amount of $31,000.
Participants can send an E-transfer (for the total raised) and email in a copy (scan or photo) of their sponsor sheet to [email protected]; or mail in cheques to head office – 361 Thirty Road, Grimsby, ON, L3M 0L1 (please do not send cash). Please make sure that Walk-a-thon is noted on the memo line. Donation receipts will be issued for any sponsorship over $20.
All funds and donations need to be submitted to the Anchor head office preferably no later than two weeks after the event.
